Sam is a recent graduate of the New Media Design & Web Development program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver, Canada.
Experienced with large-scale artwork, Sam’s early days in Studio Art AP enabled him to develop his talents in fine art, from paint, charcoal to elements in design, colour theory and layout. His dedication to design has earned him publicity in the Burnaby Now Newspaper and 2nd place in the 2008 IRCHighway logo design contest.
As a Simon Fraser University alumni member with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Liberal Arts certificate, Sam brings a robust mind to anything he approaches. He brings a wide experience base having worked for various companies such as Nova Designs, ICBC, Electronic Arts Canada and the VANOC 2010 Committee, on top of being a certified Oxford TESOL English language instructor capable of teaching English overseas.
In his spare time he enjoys creative writing and photography as well as a lifelong interest in and Japanese animation.
Armed with a thirst for knowledge and a creative edge, His latest foray into New Media combines art with digital technology. Whether he is involved with design in animation & games, sound production, or a career in writing or print and publishing design, Sam envisions a future that harnesses his versatility.
